The ‘Beyond Group’ of photographers from Suffolk and North Essex are holding their 4th National Exhibition of Photography at Ipswich Town Hall from Tuesday 6th September to Saturday 10th September. Pictures will be on display 12.30 to 5 p.m. (Tuesday) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weds to Saturday.

The Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor John Le Grys, will be attending the awards ceremony at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday 10th. The presentations will be made by the exhibition’s major sponsor, Peter Smith of 1st Graphic Computers.

The exhibition attracted over 3500 entries from throughout the U.K. and for the first time a print section has been included. The selectors were Russell Lindsay (Ipswich), Peter Young (Bromsgrove) and Leo Rich (Salisbury).

The Beyond Group was formed five years ago by 15 photographic enthusiasts from East Anglia, with a view to providing a forum for discussion and the furtherance of photographic art in all its forms. Meetings are held twice monthly at Copdock,, near Ipswich.
